Affiliate Email Marketing

     Affiliate Email Marketing

Hi

This email is considered as spamming you because I didn’t first request your permission to mail you.

I would like you to please visit my website and subscribe to my newsletter so that I will have your permission to send further information to you. Please do not report me for spamming. You will see that I have given you the choice to opt out of receiving any further contact from me at the bottom of this email. This is a requirement of The CAN-SPAM Act, and including it means I am abiding by the law.

I do have manners, and should you not want any more very important information from me, that I know can be of good use to you, then opt out, and I will remove you from my mailing list immediately.

You would be correct in guessing that I have either a product or service I am trying to sell to you. It isn’t my own product or service, but I get commission if you spend money after visiting the website I’m an affiliate of. The owners of the website and business give me text links and banner links that have my own personal referral identification number or name included in them too. When you, or anybody, follows any of the links, you visit the website of the business, and if you spend money with them, cookies will have tracked my referral link, and the business will pay me my commission.

You may ask me why don’t I just send the information, banners and text links to you in a message. I don’t do that unless you have agreed to receive messages from me. Affiliate e-mail marketing can be very tricky. The main affiliate business owner can get into a lot of trouble if affiliates use spamming methods to market his product or service. Affiliate programs have strict rules, and if members break them, their membership is terminated – that’s if the business owner hasn’t already been taken off to jail, and is actually still available to punish the members with criminal tendencies!

Although definitely tricky, affiliate e-mail marketing is the best way to advertise the business. It must, however, be done properly. The correct way is to use opt in email lists, where the recipient of the emails has agreed to receive electronic mail from you, usually in the form of a newsletter. This is where more difficulty comes in.   How does one get a potential customer to agree to receive newsletters in the first place?

Firstly, your website has to be visited often so that people can see you offer newsletter subscriptions. Obviously you can also display the affiliate links on your website, but what’s the use if you have hardly any traffic? Be sure to have a good website design intact and have a lot of text on your website to help with search engine optimisation. You can also use safe lists and traffic exchanges to get that extra traffic.

Please visit my website where you can see all the information to make this clearer for you. I have interesting articles there too, all related to the business I earn commission from.

Did I mention yet that you too could earn an income from also doing what I’m doing? Come see how! You’re even welcome to use many words on this page when you start your own affiliate e-mail marketing campaign!
Yours sincerely
